WHAT IS LOVB?
League One Volleyball, also known as LOVB (pronounced ‘love’), is looking to reimagine the future of volleyball. Founded in 2020, LOVB includes 54 junior clubs throughout the country and is the largest community of youth volleyball teams.
Now, LOVB is launching its first season of its indoor women’s professional volleyball league. Its inaugural season began on January 8, 2025.
LOVB AND YOUTH VOLLEYBALL
League One Volleyball has a goal of being, “one holistic volleyball ecosystem, from club to pro…committed to championing the sport of volleyball – and every athlete who plays it – in unprecedented ways.” The brand is able to successfully do this by connecting with youth club teams. There are 59 LOVB youth clubs around the country, including top clubs such as A5 and Houston Skyline. Over 17,300 players play on LOVB teams, demonstrating the organization’s massive outreach.
LOVB PRO VOLLEYBALL
Built on the foundation of youth volleyball programs, LOVB continues to foster growth in the sport of volleyball through the launch of its professional volleyball league. There are 6 professional LOVB teams so far, home to the cities of: Atlanta, Houston, Madison, Salt Lake City, Austin, and Omaha.
