Instagram or Facebook

Taking a break after scrolling reels for two hours? Spare a few seconds to check Cornell’s Instagram for a reason to go outside. Most of Cornell’s events will be showcased on Facebook or Instagram. Posts have an image of the event and a brief description and then send you on your way. You get to see students engaging with the event. You could be a celebrity on Cornell’s Instagram page if you attend. On your smartphone and Online, checking out Cornell’s socials is a great way to see new events.
Campus Event Calendar

Your one-stop shop for everything happening at Cornell. The Calendar features sports games, events held by organizations, intramurals, and Cornell-hosted events. Each post gives you the location, time, and venue to email the event host in case you need to provide constructive criticism. You can even sort your events by type, weeding out the boring ones. You can see every event on campus, whether a small group meeting for the yarn club or the Big Event. Seeing everything gives you an idea of all the active groups on campus, and one might catch your eye (I’m seriously thinking of checking out the yarn club). While the site could be polished visually, it does an excellent job as an event calendar. If I get bored, the campus event calendar is the first place I check.
Cornell College News Center

We aren’t suggesting you spend your time at a competitor’s site. Still, if you are looking for a very formal, structured, and in-depth report on Cornell’s events, look at the News Center. Their posts will go into the history, impact, and reason the event is being hosted. While you can find Cornell’s big-hitting events on the News Center, don’t expect to see smaller events featured.
Orange Carpet

What better place to find something to do than the place where something is always happening? Right dab in the middle of Thomas Commons. There is no way you can miss it. The orange carpet is surrounded by posters promoting events and organizations around campus. Since you likely walk past it daily, consider stopping for a second and check out what’s happening.
Cornell Rams

The Cornell Rams site has everything you need if you’re looking for sports. It features a complete schedule for every sports program on campus and features the results of upcoming games. The schedules are formatted in a calendar where you can sort by sport and event. If you want to see fellow students in action and hopefully win, this is the place to go.
